About this listen

Brand new epic adventure from bestselling author Peter Gibbons! Must-listen for fans of Bernard Cornwell

Can one-man unite Britain and secure its future?

Dark Age Britain

Britain slides into darkness. A splintered land ruled by brutal Kings in their hilltop fortresses and besieged by Saxon invaders.

Wielding Excalibur, Arthur Pendragon, king of kings is all that stands between Britain and Saxon conquest.

His call to arms to unite against the Saxon invasion as one army is rebuked. Ancient rivalries, jealousy, and bitterness prevent Arthur from uniting his countrymen in defiance of the savage Saxon warlords who have seized Britain’s east and south coast.

Arthur must face and defeat enemies within his own kingdom, and then unite the kingdoms of Britain in a war that will shake the country’s very foundations.

Can Arthur succeed with vicious enemies all around him? Merlin, Lancelot, Bors, Gawain and Kai join their swords to Arthur’s iron will as they do battle for Britain’s very existence.

The continuation of the compelling, fast-paced series from bestselling writer Peter Gibbons. Perfect for the fans of Bernard Cornwell.

I have book one and book two so getting this new one was much anticipated.
The story is excellent such powerful words and emotions it envelops you in each character and chapter.
The narrator is one if the best in all. My years with audible he brings each person to life and never loses the emotional content.

I heard it first on my Alexa. But then I heard it again on over the head blue tooth headphones
Each time I heard something new. I felt each of the characters words and saw them in my head. Peter has such a way with the words .

I really hope he brings out another book about Arthur to conclude his story

Do give this story I listen you won’t be disappointed it’s got everything in it

Enjoy

Wow. A story so brilliant I listened twice 😊

A book called Camelot finished mid sentence in the bush , what did he get board or was he pressed for a release date???

The worst ending I could have come up with! It just stopped almost mid sentence

Great story and told from a different angle to others I have read. It is, however, getting noticeable how much repitition there is with whole battle scenes having been fought before. Audible must be both a curse and a blessing for authors as it allows listeners to plough through series and remember phrases and sections already used.

The repetition is getting noticeable

Too much gore!! Author is good but the almost incessant blood and guts just became too much

Gore gore and more gore
