I’ve read about Escobar and the Medellín Cartel before, but this audiobook really shows how important Lehder was to the story. His obsession with politics and his vision of a “narco-state” make him stand out as one of the most unusual cartel figures. The detail about his alliance with George Jung and the use of Norman’s Cay was especially eye-opening. Highly recommended.
