Do you believe in love at first touch? The Storm family does, and Mila has just touched hers. Boone is a single dad that came off a bad relationship. Sworn off of a new one, that touch has him wanting something he hasn't had in a long time. There is a lot to unpack when it comes to Mila. She is a people pleaser, always helping out and being there to help her family. But who pleases her? Keeping the attention of Boone isn't the problem, but he just gets in his own way. Until he doesn't an the sparks fly. But does he feel the same as Mila? And what will happen when things get sticky? I loved this listen. It was full of all the feels, all the good food and such great passion building that I could not put it down. Mila is a fabulous character, with a heart of gold and I love that she goes after what she wants. Boone is an amazing dad, and his sensuality is off the charts. Bring in a few Storms I have had the pleasure of meeting in other books and this book made my day.

Jarman Day and Grace Noble give a performance that caught my ears by storm! Pun intended. These two are a perfect fit for this age gap romance. Day is full of voices, from the dad voice, the voice at work, and the alpha male! Noble is Mila with the sound of always making people happy as well as passion and confidence. I enjoyed these two.

Mari Carr takes you back to Stormy Weather Farms in Gracemount, Virginia, for another wonderful romance novel, an enthralling story full of heart and heat. Mila works various jobs on the family farm and takes on a lot of responsibilities, something she always did. Boone, a newcomer to Stormy Weather, is a single dad of a twelve-year-old daughter, and he was a quieter and more stable life for her. The first person he runs into when he arrives is Mila, whom he tries to rescue from a fall. An instant attraction moment, a feeling he shoved away because he wrote off relationships and love a long time ago. Mila had a dull dating life and doubted she would ever feel that spark of attraction until she met him. Boone knows she is a forever girl, and he is not a forever man, not to mention she is a Storm, so he sets her straight, but sometimes you can not fight a chemistry as strong as theirs or fight fate. I adored these two, thought they were great together and for each other, and Mila was amazing with his daughter too. Carr’s wonderfully crafted story is a multi-layered story with complex characters who really got each other for the making of another fabulous “Perfect Storm” romance. There is never a dull moment in this book, and the story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, charming & heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. And as always, the writing, plot, and world-building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Thank you for another great visit to Stormy Weather Farms, the fabulous story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I loved how they embodied their roles, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. They are entertaining storytellers and their captivating performance keeps you glued to the story.

Brilliant narration from Jarman Day and Grace Noble


This is a book full of wonderful characters. Mila life is one family no matter how eccentric they are. Boone only wants a stable life for his daughter Sadie. Oh when these two meet it is instant attraction. One problem is Boone’s past holds him back.
Loved how these two may be opposites but the attraction is strong. We have tension, family, chemistry, age gap, humour and a great book to listen to or read or both.

This is book 3 in Carr's Perfect Storm series. A great addition to the series that can be read / listened to as a standalone. Carr delivers a well written and captivating romance and is beautifully narrated by the talents of Day and Noble. Our main characters are single dad Boon and Mila. Boon makes the move to Stormy Weather Farm, a family owned and operated business to further his career and make a fresh start for his daughter to a hopefully more wholesome environment. While Mila is sweet and kind, she wants to be seen as more in a partner and she longs for a partner, marriage and kids and the whole HEA. When the family curse or blessing depending on how you see it - is felt she's excited that Boon is her forever, only Boon's been jaded in the past and cautious now. Their journey is sweet, steamy and funny with just the right amount of angst. I loved the balance; the smooth flowing storyline and the steamy bits and light kink were well done. A great read / listen and I'm excited for more!
