Summary
Danny Charming thought getting arrested for running illegal tours of London's hidden places was his biggest problem.
He was wrong. Very, very wrong.
When Danny's brother dies in his flat, bleeding out while shoving a magical sword into Danny's hands, Danny discovers that "Prince Charming" isn't just a fairy tale—it's a job. And like most family businesses, it comes with terrible hours, homicidal coworkers, and no proper training manual.
Now Danny has thirteen hours to save London from something that's been picking off magical children. Danny's allies? A bound Fae warrior who might be lying to him, a government bureaucrat with her own agenda, and a psychotic "Peaky Blinders" wannabe squirrel in a three-piece suit who keeps trying to murder him for "quality control."
Oh, and Danny's sword Trueheart disguises itself as an umbrella to anyone who isn't magical. Because apparently, even ancient weapons worry about the Metropolitan Police.
The worst part? Everyone who's supposed to help Danny seems to know more about what's really going on than he does. Including the vampires running wine bars and werewolves holding secret self-help meetings that Danny's brother was apparently attending. And the deeper Danny digs into his brother's death, the more Danny's starting to think that everything he's been told about being Prince Charming is complete rubbish.
Thirteen hours until midnight. Something nasty is coming for the kids.
And Danny's supposed to stop it while everyone keeps trying to kill him.
This is going to end badly.©2025 Tony Lee (P)2026 W F Howes Ltd
