©2015 Robert Stone (P)2020 OakhillSome parts were difficult to believe - I’m not doubting the author’s honesty, just pointing out that some bits were either over simplified, airbrushed, or just straight up incredible. While he notes in the post-script that he wasn’t proud of his career and the things he had done, it certainly sounded like there was some thinly veiled pride in the earlier tales of him building his empire. This being said, I cannot fault him for that, it certainly was quite the organisation.
I would be interested to know what happened in his life in later years - whether he had squirrelled away any assets that weren’t forfeited, how he made a living etc, but again, I can’t fault him for not sharing anything incriminating.
