Five Stars for Kellan: Children of Anzulla, Part Two of Book One (Finding Love in the World of Titans)
Fantastic narration by Jonathan Waters. The relationship between Draxton and Kellan forms the heart of the story. Draxton’s unwavering focus and neurodivergent way of navigating the world beautifully contrast with Kellan’s cautious, protective nature, creating a slow-burn romance filled with hesitation, longing, and restraint. Char thoughtfully portrays Draxton’s level-one autism as a meaningful part of his character—insightful, lived-in, and never reducing him to just his condition. The worldbuilding is rich and expansive, featuring Titans, dragons, interdimensional travel, ancient civilizations, and systemic oppression. Char courageously explores violence and moral complexity, especially as rescue missions and efforts to liberate others reveal the heavy costs of secrecy and the abuse of power.
