Taking the old and making it new doesn't always work but in this case it really does work as it helps your children really understand the story using language and culture from today which renews the story but doesn't change the storyline.

Some of these classics I didn't remember well or hadn't heard before, and the classics I hadn't heard, I didn't realize how much I would enjoy hearing the originals. Starting with the Brothers Grimm's short-fairy-tale classics was amazing. These versions are better than what I remember: positive, great themes, and they help you escape to another land! Then the classic longer stories were really wonderful. All I remembered were the movie,s and these were even better. I highly recommend listening, and you'll get some brilliant classics that are much better in my opinion than those movies and quite entertaining - a great escape.

This is a lovely, classic collection of stories that are as wonderful today as when they were written. The narration is professionally done; male and female voice changes for each story to mix it up and keep it fresh. All great to listen to with a story -narration emphasis: characters and direction - all very easy-listwening and entices the ear.
