Veronica Henry has a talent for storytelling. Great characterisation, beautiful paced plot, and the real feel good factor we all need for Christmas time. She knows how to craft a novel to leave us satisfied but still wanting another chapter anyway. Julia Franklin is an excellent narrator too.
I really enjoyed this book, it’s a family drama that we can all relate to in one way or another and it hits the spot in November and December when we want an absorbing story to relax with. Highly recommended. And there’s a sequel ..... I’m off to listen to that one next.

Loved this book and the narrator, a really lovely Christmas listen. Lighthearted but trips along like a loveable reindeer.. very uplifting and comforting. It’s the audible equivalent of a hit chocolate with marshmallows!
