About this listen

On the tiny Scottish island of Mure, Christmas preparations are even more hectic than usual....

Especially when their motley staff includes a temperamental French chef, a spoilt Norwegian kitchen boy who can't peel a potato without mutilating his own hand and a painfully shy kitchen assistant who blushes when anyone speaks to her.

Can they pull it together in time for the big opening?

And can Flora help her family find happiness this Christmas?

Great story and well read. Heartwarming and comforting. My only quibble was that one of the character's names changed halfway through: Marsha/ Martha.

Like a cup of hot chocolate.

I struggled to adjust to the different reader’s voice from the previous book, towards the end I found I had got used to it so began to enjoy the story more. A super series by this author, looking forward to book 5.

Excellent continuation of this series.

I loved the way this story was woven in a such an intelligent and captivating way, you just can't help but be sucked in straight away and intrigued by the way it promises to unfold. There's a love story, of course, a meeting with familiar characters that feel like old friends and some new ones too, cooking and food descriptions, an angel decoration specially sent for Christmas and a lot more. What more can you ask for, I listened to this book again after a time as I enjoyed it so much the first time and I was still enthralled...

Constantine's story is the best of the Mure book series.

Having read the first Mure books I had to double check that I had bought the correct book in the series as a new voice was being played to me. I didn’t like it, I was concentrating too much on the voice being wrong. However as I had purchased the book and enjoyed hearing about the characters on the island I continued and from about half way through started to really get back into the story.

I did enjoy this book and I am looking forward to hearing more about the new characters introduced in this one.
