I am the author of Chronicles of MatiLou and PerryAnn. Their stories demand to be told. I am their storyteller. As the author, I tried to record the girls’ hope, what they felt and learned, much of their dialogue, and what they gained and lost along the way. Although fiction, their journey resonates with current times.

In 1973, the summer of change, Perry Ann lost her parents in a tragic accident. Then, in 1983, the summer of hard choices, PerryAnn and her best friend, MatiLou, pursued answers to what happened on that fateful day. A past love interest, Billy, who may have been involved, accosted PerryAnn, forcing her to make hard choices.

And in 1996, alone on a cliff, he continued to push PerryAnn to the brink of desperation. In 2003, painted moment, MatiLou grapples with her feelings for her husband Bobby and the price she pays to be with him, abandoning her true self and what she knows she was born to do. She struggles with wounds from bullying, injustice, and fear of losing those she loves.

The novellas, rich with gifts and lessons in the telling of the story, are full of suspense throughout and uncover long-awaited truths. Through it all, the girls work to save nature and this blessed Mother Earth, our home.
