Mom sent me all the way across the country to the Louisiana bayou to join the circus and help my uncle for the summer. This story was super creepy. People dying all over the place, voodoo, zombies, (sexy) ghosts- it definitely had that New Orleans vibe that feels like the adventure of a lifetime yet you want to scrub yourself raw and throw away your shoes when you get home.

I really enjoyed this a unique take on magical circuses full of voodoo, ghosts, zombies and death. It’s got an intriguing concept full of twists and turns that keeps you guessing. You never really know who you can or can’t trust. The one thing I did have to remind myself is the MC Callie is only 16 but once I got that through my head I really enjoyed the book overall.

The Narrator did a fantastic job portraying the characters and keeping the pace and tension of the story amazingly well.

This is a fantastic book! It is dark and creepy in an intriguing way. I have never read a book like this before. This is a MUST READ/ LISTEN. Like always Sarah did an amazing job narrating this book. Can't wait for the next book!

Well this was certainly interesting, I wasn't sure what to expect with this series. The storyline is fantastic but a little complicated, I'm still trying to figure out exactly what is going on. There is so much mystery and twists in the plot, it's got me captivated. I'm becoming a huge Kimberly Loth fan, the more of her series's I read the more I love them all. I love the characters so much in this one, Samuel is my favourite. Which probably means something bad will happen to him, that seems to be my luck. The island is kind of scary, the way it's described it's like something out of a horror movie. This is definitely a very fun book, and the narrator does an excellent job. She nails callie's personality perfectly, she even does great imitating both benny and Samuel.
