About this listen

Simon Lewis is having some trouble adjusting to his new life as a vampire, especially now that he hardly sees his best friend Clary, who is caught up in training to be a Shadowhunter - and spending time with her new boyfriend, Jace. Simon decides he needs a break and heads out of the city - only to discover that sinister events are following him. Realising that the war they thought they’d won might not yet be over, Simon has to call on his Shadowhunter friends to save the day - if they can put their own splintering relationships on hold long enough to rise to the challenge….

I love The Mortal Instruments and for the most part because of the complex relationships between the main characters. This is the 4th book in the saga and kind of starts of the second part of the story and maybe I wondered if it would captivate me as much as the first 3 books did.

Well I can say it does and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as with the other books I love Cassie's storyline and hope with all my heart if and when the film does come out it will do it justice, though as with most films of the book, they don't.

If you haven't read any of the Mortal Instruments get hold of City of Bones now, you won't regret it. It has it all, Demons and Angels, Vampires and Werewolves, Love and Romance. If you have read the first 3 books, City of Fallen Angels will leave you crying out for the as yet incomplete 5th book, City of Lost Souls.

Her performance put me off and I groaned every time she started a chapter. Story great.

Fun story, her performance was not the best

so far half way through and it's hard to listen to, the narrator's are really bad. makes it hard to enjoy the story. female narrator sounds like text to speech.

In comparison to the the narration in the previous books I did not like the narration in this one nearly as much, I struggled to listen to Molly C Quinn I thought she was terrible and incorrectly pronounced some key terms.
This was not one of my favourite of the books as in this one the story shifts a bit more onto Simon rather than Clary or Jace, however was still exciting to listen and I did ultimately enjoy it.
