I really enjoyed the book. it has a unique magic system and world building, based on dnd and game mechanics, which you learn more about throughout the book. the narration is not my favorite, but it did not deter me from finishing the book. It feels like each sentence is read as a separate statement instead of a flowing storing. I'd recommend to listen to the trial and you will quickly find out if the narration style is for you
