About this listen

I made a deal with a demon so I could be free. Boy, did that blow up in my face.

Everything is falling apart just as I thought it was coming together. The Mercer twins say I’m their mate. I believe them, even if I can’t let them claim me. No matter how badly my soul yearns to be theirs.

Pan laid out his terms and I ignored them once already. Now, Ben is in jail for a murder he didn’t commit, Asher’s curse is spreading, and Remi and I are no closer to finding a way to free either of them. If that wasn’t tricky enough, the Duke of Tears has found me. And Gavin has made it clear he has no intention of leaving without his wife. But I refuse to leave them.

My flirtatious wolf. My haunted hacker. My broken alpha.

And I already know my mischievous demon will never let me go. The mark he seared into my flesh is proof of that. If I’ve learned anything from my Blackthorne ancestors, it's how to protect my mate. So while Pan thinks he’s got me over a barrel, I’m the one using him to my advantage.

After all, there’s more than one way to deal with a demon.

WARNING: The Mate Games: Pestilence is a spicy why choose series that is sure to set your…heart…on fire. If you’re not a fan of grumpy dukes with a penchant for pain, purple demons with fancy body parts, nosy hackers with boundary issues, angsty wolf shifters who like to share, sword crossing, and plenty of group activities, this one’s not for you. But if it is…welcome back to The Mate Games, we’ve been waiting for you.

Meg Anne and K. Loraine are on fire and they certainly turned up the heat for this second book of their amazing “Mate Games: Pestilence” series. Not only do things heat up for Rosie and her mates, we get some surprise visits and lots of twists and turns. Rosie’s secret is out thanks to Gavin, and the Mercer twins did not react as she feared they might. They wanted her and they have and claim her. Asher fits in with them comfortably well too. Gavin surprises me the most in this book, his feelings for Rosie are genuine, as is his possessiveness and need to have her and he will do anything to make that happen. Pan flies off the handle, and he is wreaking havoc, causing a real “Pan-demic” and with other evil elements in play, everything goes to heII, especially for Rosie and her mates. What is going to happen to them all, what is going to happen in and to Aurora Springs? The next book can not come soon enough! A lot goes on in this fascinating and cleverly plotted story and there is never a dull moment. There is non-stop drama, humorous and witty dialogue to lighten things up, a touch of angst, some heartfelt emotions and steamy romance, reverse harem style. If you have not started the series yet, be sure to begin with “Deal with the Demon” a not to be missed story, the world building and character building begin in that book and continue throughout the series and it is all fantastic. Thank you K. Lorraine and Meg Anne for another amazing story and wild ride.

🎧📚🎧 Jacob Morgan, James Joseph, John Hartley, Teddy Hamilton and Stella Hunter’s outstanding performance of bringing these characters and story to life continues. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying and I love how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. Stella Hunter continues to nail is as Roslyn, British accent and all, John Hartley shows us another side of Gavin besides his alpha side, Teddy Hamilton as Asher is a winner, as is Jacob Morgan’s Remi and J.F. Harding’s Ben. James Joseph’s Pan is just as chilling and hot as ever. They are all just as fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to, and their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

So Rosie has found her mates, and feeling rejected, the demon, Pan, decided its time for the plague starting with birds.
Lilath is more involved in this book, even Sunday, Noah and Kingston are in the book which was nice to see.
Otherwise Gavin has been accepted and Rosie bonds him as her mate. The ending shocked me, so straight onto the next book.
As always the narration was fantastic!

This is book 2 of The Mate Games: Pestilence series. This is a PNR fantasy RH romance. The story of Rosie, Asher, Pan, Gavin, Remi & Ben continues. We get some twists and turns and some new secrets. The steam in this book is high, and the sexy scenes are hot. The audiobook is narrated by Teddy Hamilton, J.F. Harding, John Hartley, Stella Hunter, James Joseph, and Jacob Morgan, and I really enjoyed it. This cast is on fire, their narration is impressive, and the voices and characters are spot on; you need to experience the story this way. They definitely know how to enhance it.

This series is everything I didn’t know I needed: hilarious, spicy, a little unhinged, and packed with just enough plot to keep the chaos rolling. It’s like K. Loraine & Meg Anne sat down with a checklist of Romantasy must-haves smut, banter, scheming, dark romance vibes, shifters, vampires, demons, a half-vamp and that glorious why choose energy and ticked every single box with glee.

Is it serious? Absolutely not. Is it bingeable, addictive, and stupidly fun? One hundred percent, yes. The nods to modern-day life had me laughing, the characters are ridiculous but loveable, and the spice is… well, let’s just say the narrators deserve awards because they bring those parts to life in the best possible way. Honestly, I don’t think I would have enjoyed it half as much without their performances.

Do I know I’m spoiling parts of the first series by starting this series? Yep. Do I care? Not even a little. I’m here for the vibes, the banter, the plot-that’s-there-if-you-squint, and the pure joy of watching shifters, vamps, and demons fight (and flirt) their way into a messy, magical “why choose” world.

This series is absolute chaos in the best way, and I’m so mad I didn’t find it sooner.
