About this listen

Book two in the Thomas Elkin series

When some lines blur, others become crystal clear.

Absolutely smitten, Thomas Elkin and Cooper Jones have decided they're prepared to give a relationship a try.

What they're not prepared for is the reaction from their families, who try to force them apart. Both men are about to learn that there are lines that define us. Sometimes the lines blur, sometimes the lines become crystal clear.

I enjoyed catching up with these characters, but because you are in the middle of their story it wasn’t as engaging as the first book which was the build up and exciting start of their relationship. Still good though!

Good to catch up with the characters

Wonderful narration by Nick J. Russo, and as this is an emotionally charged story, his interpretation was perfection [thank goodness Nic decided that a change of narrator was in order for this series]. The drafting table made several appearances 😉. The cost may be an issue for some people...quite expensive for a 3 hour+ narration really, but I got the audio for a cheaper price cos I bought the book back in 2015.

***Book Review 2015***

5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and 5 ♥♥♥♥♥ from me.... another delightful, delicious instalment of Nic's Thomas Elkin series of books. I read the first one on a plane from London to Lisbon...this one I stopped decorating the Christmas tree and just sat down and read it, and it couldn't have been more perfect, sigh.

I really do think that Cooper is the adult in this relationship...."How did you get so wise?" "I'm just smart like that". I kissed him with smiling lips. "You're just smug like that." "It's a Gen Y thing?" "It's a Cooper Jones thing". It has to be said that both guys are completely head over heels with each other, and as Cooper says "I've fallen in love with you, and if gender doesn't matter, then neither should age".

In this story, Cooper has his work cut out trying to convince Tom's jealous ex wife Sofia that he and Tom are really together and are the 'real deal' (and luckily they have Ryan's support)....and that's before they have to tell both sets of parents that they are a couple (and in Tom's case, he actually needs to 'come out' to his Mum and Dad as well), but as usual, the course of true love does not run smoothly for either of them, and there will be lots of tears before we reach the end of the tale. Congrats Nic, another wonderful story. ♡♡♡

Well done Mr Russo...

Second episode of this compulsive series, excellenly dramatized and orated by this narrator. The relationship has deepened and matured a little, which allowed it to withstand the family issues of acceptance and non-acceptance, of life and death and what is really important.

Gripping
