Let me start by saying this is definitely not medical advice. With that said I do think this book gives good advise for calming your nerves, getting better sleep and managing life’s different schedules. This book could be a good supplement to medical advice if you are receiving counseling for anything. Of course talk this over with your doctor.

I just started using cbt therapy in my own therapy sessions. So when I came across this book I just had to. And I’m so glad I did. It really helped to break it down for me and give me a truly better understanding of what it actually is and how it does actually help you. So now I’m so much more at ease using it. And that has lessened a lot of my stress.

I think this book provides a lot of helpful tips and resources regarding cognitive behavioral health to manage several issues, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, motivation, and others. The only reason I didn’t give it a higher rating is because I think the author needs to take a little bit more thought and carefulness around claiming that CBT can cure mental health conditions. The other thing I noted is that although there are several instances where the author states that a person with a mental health concerns should seek professional help from a therapist, the author also states in several occasions that CBT could be useful for people who do not want to seek Therapy. Although this may be true, I think it could encourage people or give them the excuse to avoid seeking professional help, and this could be detrimental to some people.
