About this listen

Can a running club help heal a broken heart?

Following the death of her husband, Ffion moves back to her family hotel in Wales seeking home comfort. In the village of Cariad Cove, she reconnects with her family, and starts to find hope as she takes up running and meets Joe....

For Joe, the second his dog crashes into the beautiful woman on the beach, it's love at first sight. But recognising a hurting soul, he offers Ffion his friendship and soon the two are organising a charity run for the local animal sanctuary.

Now Ffion is feeling things she never thought she would again. Is it too soon to move on? Can she open her heart to love again? She's planning on running… but will it be away from Joe or towards him?

A heart-felt and emotional romance for fans of The Cancer Ladies Running Club and Phillipa Ashley.

this was a truly enjoyable listen, being Welsh and living in a small village I was able to relate to the caricatures and the location. Pronouncation of the Welsh names was very good and nice to hear, but it would of been nice to of heard the grandparents being referred to as Nain or Mamgu and Taid as this is what they would be know as. the emotion story line it was well writen and read which made for a really enjoyable and relaxing experience.

a truly enjoyable book

The narrator was very good the accent was true to the Swansea area.
The story involved areas not so often explored as with Ffion losing her husband young, and her sister struggling to cope with her hectic life and her husband not being much help.

Very Good Welsh Accent.

Easy listen but a little long winded and somewhat predictable. Probably could be more impactful with less waffle.

Predictable

This is a lovely book to listen too, an easy book to follow while packing to move home, it follows a close family helping their daughter to deal with the death of her husband and best friend. Finding a new challenge and love proving to herself it’s ok to move on.

Lovely story
