I enjoyed the book however the narrative made the book seem uncaring/flippant despite reading the passages as written , artistic license made it as though author didn’t care or was of an era of old school comedy.

This book is simply excellent. A true story of ones mans daily life with death, murder, suicide and so much more.

I was appalled when listening to the corruption within the system which involved police officers, funeral directors in fact right the way down to mortuary attendants. Stealing from the dead re-using coffins..absolutely appalling. Peter Everett took on this corruption and managed to get convictions.

I’m in my late, late cough*fifties*cough but if I were young again I may have considered a job in the death industry based on this book..it’s a wonderful listen.

It’s well narrated by ME who is a new narrator to me and I will look for more books read by him.

Well worth a credit and its in my 5 top books of 2019.

An excellent insight, well written and narrated. Some great stories along with an expose of an industry that hopefully has cleaned itself up thanks to the likes of the author so we might all rest in peace, not in pieces.
