However, (and sadly this is the main reason for my review) the absolutely ludicrous flitting in and out of strange accents to apparently represent the voices of the players is just bizarre and completely distracting!
I found it hard to believe at first when I started the audiobook, but the more I listened I just found it so annoying that I had to stop listening as I couldn’t take it anymore. A shame as I would have liked to have heard more, but the ongoing voiceovers made it sound like some sort of poor parody and completely distracted from my enjoyment of listening to the stories.
I’m sure the written book is well worth a read though.
