When you read a book that breaks your heart you know its good!
Selena gets hurt and they end up in thr Unseelie court making bargains to get her better.
They have to take part in trials to win their freedom and then Isara takes it upon herself to make Orian the Unseelie king join the war on the ice dragons. Whilst all this is happening Selena gets a bit of Emotion training and learns how to put emotions in people, but maybe not how to remove them, which then takes her to heartbreak! 😭

I loved this audiobook so much. Laura Horowitz narrating is just chefs kiss. 👌 Marion Blackwood's writing & new characters have me absolutely hooked on this series. I'm delving straight into book 4 & I'm not stopping til I finish!!!

Dragon shifters maybe the new kind of hot I didn't know I needed in my life. Draven is the kind of book boyfriend I love & the side characters are definite bonuses - Jocasta & Isera are strong additions & between them & Orion, they formed interesting contrasts for the plot.

The cliffhanger gutted me and I'm really curious to see the villain era forthcoming.

This series had so much promise. Thought it would get better but leaves me wishing for so much more half way into book 3! The story is lacking in depth, intelligence and progress. The FMC is repeating the same thoughts over and over, same mistakes and fails to be as intelligent as the story tells us she is (I feel smarter tbh). And Draven is this powerful general, but keeps getting over run by the plot so many times that I fail to se it.
When I see the twists come from a mile away, get frustrated by the decisions made by the characters, its a no for me. It could’ve been really awesome tho…
