I enjoyed this book, it had an interesting premise, and some really good plot twists, although it was a bit too short. This could be a really good series worth following. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Interesting premise

Each story in this collection ups the ante. While it does a little more backstory and character introductions, it’s finally making some progress towards that sweet, sweet zombie apocalypse we signed up for.

I’ve always dismissed zombies for their lack of logic. Fetid, putrid bodies are never going to sneak up on you, EVER. On top of that, in most stories the human dies and then rises, and continues to “live” as a decaying body. To defeat a zombie outbreak, all you’d have to do is wait a few weeks for them to all collapse and rot.

I bring all this up because this series actually took the time to acknowledge some of these plotholes with its zombie virus being genetically engineered. It makes these novels that much more interesting.

As always, I have little to say about the narrator. She does an excellent job.
