this book felt like the cosiest kind of comfort read exactly what i needed to sink into. this was the low angst perfect second chance romance that gave me just enough emotional pull while keeping me invested from start to finish. kai and isabelle's connection felt so real and i loved watching them come back to each other. julia just knows exactly how to give me just enough spice to match the sweetness of the story and truly the warmest hugs.

huge thanks to julia jarrett and home cooked books for letting me listen early! the audiobook was such a treat to listen to and samantha brentmoor and david lee huynh rough it all to life so beautifully.

love love love

Curve into Forever just hit the right spot. I loved it. I am so disappointed in myself that I've waited so long to dive into this series. Who waits until the final book in the series? I will definitely be going back and listening to the other four books in the series. This book is a second chance romance, Kai and Isabelle were college sweethearts who broke up when she left for a month to go to Italy to meet her dad and his family and never came back. Until now. She is back in Canada visiting with her mom, who has just gotten married to the head coach of a baseball team. The same team that Kai plays for. Neither is aware until a family day, and they decide to keep their past relationship under wraps, planning to slowly rebuild their friendship, but it soon turns into more when they realise they are each other's missing piece—each other's person. Their relationship is so sweet and swoony. As a fan of banter, I adored their level of banter and how they grew as people and as a couple. The scene towards the end is what sports books/ movies are made for!

Samantha Brentmoor and David Lee Huynh performed this in dual, and they were fantastic! Their performances are an example as to why dual is a must. They delivered brilliant, nuanced, banter-filled performances that kept me captivated for the entire book. They did a fabulous job with the Canadian and Italian in this book, not making it sound stereotypical or over the top. It sounded authentic to this listener.

Great!

If you love sports and second chances, this story is for you! Isabelle met the love of her life in college. When she finally found her father in Italy, and had the chance to go meet him, Kai supported her, and couldn't wait for her to return. Only she didn't Getting caught up in the new part of her family had her staying for eight years. Now she has returned to Vancouver to see her mom, only to find her married to the coach of the team that Kai plays for. What is going to happen when these two see each other again? Will the sparks still fly eight years later? This is such a fun listen. As Kai and Isabelle and get to know each other again, the push pull of feelings is so delicious and exciting. I loved this, it flew by with spicy scenes and exciting dates. It's the perfect romance.

Samantha Brentmoor and David Lee Huynh are the storytellers and their chemistry is off the charts. These two provided witty banter, unresolved feelings and undying love throughout their listen. Each finds the essence of their character and lets all the emotions fly. I enjoyed their performance.

Great curveball!

Curve Into Forever is the 5th book in the Vancouver Trident's series but it can be read as a stand alone. I'm not really a fan of second chance, but I really liked the series so I thought I'd give this one a try. I appreciated that Kai and Isabelle learned from their past mistakes and I'd give the story 4.5 stars.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by new-to-me David Lee Huynh and the fabulous Samantha Brentmoor. The performances enhanced the story and I'm sure that I liked it more because I listened to it.

I received a copy of the audiobook at my request and the opinions here are my own.

Great narration, stand alone in series

Swoony & fun!

This is a second chance story between Kai and his (ex) college girlfriend, Isabelle. Isabelle broke up with Kai 8 years previously after moving to Italy to reconnect with her birth dad. 8 years later, fate has them reunited after Isabelle’s mum gets married to Kai’s baseball coach, and Isabelle returns to the States to spend some time with her mum and new stepdad. There, she bumps into Kai. The two reconnect and realise that their strong feelings for each other are anything but gone. Can they remain just friends? Especially as Isabelle is due to return to Italy at the end of her trip.

It was soo nice being back in the Vancouver Tridents world. Second chance romance is not usually my fav, but this one was soo good! Kai and Isabelle’s connection and chemistry was amazing to watch. Kai finally got his happily ever after! I definitely enjoyed seeing them reconnect as friends; getting to know each other as they are now, whilst also trying to figure out their romantic feelings for each other. Plus, the family relationship and dynamics was cute and fun to read about; I especially loved Isabelle’s relationship with her mum and the rest of her extended family. 😊

Steamy, but also full of heart, pick up Curve Into Forever if you’re in need of a second-chance, sports romance! It won’t disappoint! 💕

Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and David Lee Huynh, they were both brilliant! Brentmoor is always such a joy to listen to. She was wonderful as Isabelle. Whilst new-to-me narrator, Huynh, also performed amazingly as Kai. The perfect duo to carry this story!!
