This is a beautiful story, and my favourite for over 50 years. The Audible narrator has just the right temperament, lightness and seriousness in turn. She brings Jerusha Abbot to lovely, lively life. The idea of only having one side of the story -letters from a young college girl from around 120 years ago to her benefactor is such an unusual writing scheme. My original copy was from 1912 (though I"m not!) and I re-visit the romantic, funny, sad and wistful book every year. Niw I can dip into it via this recording too. ps. I'm a 66 year old gentleman, not a teenage romantically inclined girl!
