Summary

A frontier world. One Sheriff. And all the action one spaceport can't hold. Darklanding is the wild west of known space. Sheriff Thaddeus Fry‘s assignment as the Sheriff of Darklanding, could be a do-nothing job, or it could get him killed.

Book 4 - The runaway’s story comes to the fore, and it’s far more than anyone suspected.

Book 5 - Ungloks don’t kill their own, or do they? Sheriff Fry and Deputy Mast Jotham are forced into the underbelly of Darklanding, into a world they didn’t know existed. Surprises are nonstop when they find out who else knows.

Book 6 - Centauri Prime was an epic failure, especially for a battle they supposedly won.

I love that these are all in compact sections, so I don't feel like I have to listen all at once. of course, I DID binge them like crazy, but I didn't HAVE to. I thought I wasn't going to like the narrator change, but then I listened. Abernathy is a great narrator! I didn't recognize the name, but I definitely recognize his voice. This was an engaging continuation to the story started in the first omnibus, with more depth added. It was nice to see some people get what they deserved, both good and bad. I definitely recommend this series.

Good story!
