I don’t normally choose this genre and there was definitely more violence than I would usually find acceptable BUT the narrator injected so much pace and excitement into the story that I couldn’t help but be caught up in the action. He conveyed it so well that I really felt like I was watching a spy thriller on TV.
I will definitely buy the next ‘instalment’ but maybe no more as I have noticed that the narrator changes for book 3 onwards. What a shame!

A fantastic storyline, well paced and well delivered. Was looking for a new series and this intro has me hooked. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Enjoyed this book. Great story. With this type of novel I can't help but worry as to how close to the truth this comes. Good pace whereby issues dealt with and don't drag on. Well drawn characters with whom one can empathise. I don't give 5 stars unless exceptional, but don't write reviews unless I have really enjoyed (or really hate). Kudos to both author and narrator.
