Summary

Dead Station: A Military Zombie Apocalypse Space Opera

A Sci-Fi Thriller Packed with Action, Horror, and Survival

In the cold abyss of deep space, death is only the beginning…

When the crew of the USSCN Týr, an elite special operations warship, is dispatched to investigate a silent mining colony, they expect political unrest or a corporate cover-up. What they find instead is beyond horror.

The once-thriving Kyler Station is now a slaughterhouse. Bodies litter the corridors. Blood paints the walls. And the few survivors left whisper of an infection that turns men into monsters—stronger, faster, and impervious to pain.

For Senior Chief Petty Officer Jackson and his battle-hardened team, survival means following the rules: shoot first, ask questions later. But as the infected close in and the station’s deadly secrets unravel, the mission turns into a desperate fight against an enemy they barely understand.

Something unnatural is spreading. Something relentless. And it's already too late.

Perfect for fans of Aliens, The Expanse, and Dead Space. If you love pulse-pounding sci-fi action, military strategy, and terrifying space horror, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Will they survive the nightmare? Or will they become part of it?

Action packed, terrifying, edge of your seat and claustrophobic zombie horror. I loved every minute of this book. The narrator certainly brings the savage, knock down, gory space battle that happens between two special forces teams fighting a zombie horde on a space station to life.
Shamon Harper's Dead Station is a must for any zompoc fans.

Zombies in Space.

The story sounds as if written by AI and then published with too little editing. The narration is not great either, and there is a strange whine in the background of the audio.

I enjoyed the story. Typical zombie outbreak on a remote station and a group of SF soldiers go investigate why it’s gone dark. Book wasn’t amazingly written with the pace of the story switching between really fast and the exceedingly slow (example, start of the book is rushed through so the ship and the soldiers arrive at the station where it could’ve been drawn out a bit more, and then the battle in the corridor as the two teams are fighting to escape the station are spread over multiple chapters where it should’ve been 2 chapters at most) but a solid start for someone who’s just started writing.

What ruined the story for me was the god awful narration/editing (I’d say it’s mostly the editing rather than the narrator). No spacing between people talking, words and ends of sentences edited out, sentences overlapping, just completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable listen. It’s like they recorded the narration and then let a child edit it and then released it without checking it beforehand.

I will probably get the next book in my kindle rather than on audible unless they do a better job on the next one. If I was the author I’d be pissed at the standard of narration and editing.

Story is mostly solid, but narration/editing is awful
