I didn't realise it was ruthies story until i had purchased it, so i was slightly disappointed but the narrator was superb as usual

Oh wow this book is brilliant, love the era it’s set in loved how the characters were brought back to life honestly really hoping Jessie Keane finds another story in the back stories of the Annie Carter series because wow! This book has gotten me wanting to start the series all over again! So on to Black Widow! 🙌

When i thought i’d got the lost the itch to lose myself in Annie Carters world! Boom!

I hate Annie. I do. I really really really do. I don't know how she is written as the heroine throughout the series. She lies, cheats, is jealous, petty, sulky, belligerent and downright annoying. I was looking forward to hearing Ruthies side, but then here came Annie, taking over, being all of the above and then some. Time to retire her I think. This series is done.

THANK YOU JESSE FOR DOING THIS BOOK FROM RUTHS SIDE AS ITS ALWAYS BEEN THE ANNIE AND MAX LUST/ LOVE STORY IT WAS GOOD HEARING OLD CHARACTERIS AGAIN WAY BACK I NOW WANT TO GO INTO MY LIBRARY AND LISTEN TO ALL THE CARTER BOOKS FROM THE START. GREAT NARRATION FROM KAREN CASS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REALLY ENJOYED THIS

I love this author, this book as gripping as all the others, it was lovely to be back with Annie and Ruthie again .
Also I loved the notation of this book ,brought this story to life
