About this listen

In this Isekai from the author of How to Survive at the End of the World, a man is sent to save a dead planet . . . a couple thousand years too late.

Matt's in the prime of his life. So when his doctor tells him he only has months to live, he figures it's just really bad luck. But it's about to get a whole lot worse.

When Matt's Earthly form finally expires, a truck-avatar system gives him the opportunity to become a hero on the paradise world of Gaia, a supposedly verdant, rich land teeming with plants and potential. What he finds instead is a place completely bereft of life. A literal dead planet. Thanks a lot, truck.

Now, Matt's going to have to figure out not only how to survive in a completely barren realm but also how to not go completely mad with a full load of stats, skills, and levels that might mean absolutely nothing. Unless there's actually something out there after all....

The first volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with almost two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

this has a really slow pace it's a few hours in and the MC has only just got his guide

slow pace!

Unique take on isekai for sure, instead of typical story about the hero saving the world from ending, we have a guy trying to survive and maybe revive the planet in the process, honestly its interesting to listen to a story where just staying alive on the barren world feels like a victory.

Interesting spin on isekai

Interesting take on the isekai genre, with the twist of having an evil LitRPG system. I wish there was more action and a little less luck for the MC when he fights, but overall it was a decent listen.

Pretty Good

Nothing like I was expecting this story to be, first annoying thing about it is the side character, the guide that is a little girl that for some reason the voice actor decided to voice her like Mr Poopybutthole combined with Mr Meeseeks, very annoying character... sorry could have been way better without here.

Now the story of survival premises starts interesting... but goes downhill as for some reason the system follows all its own rules, gives the main character ultimate planetary power but forbids him from using it... so the system is buthurt because he's asking about it and now the system is trying to kill him. ok... even this would be ok... but for some reason there's a second system from the dungeons that is helping him because it's entertaining...
the story is all over the place, I will probably only get the next book if it's on sale.
