Gripping story line, the tension builds by the chapter…..
There’s a claustrophobic atmosphere, and the interplay between the characters is excellent. Add in top notch narration and you have a great historical thriller.

An absolute gem of a story.
Written very much in the style of early 20th century detective stories, with a dash of spy thriller and Edwardian invasion literature.
The plot is compelling and the narration is the best I’ve heard on an audiobook for years.
I simply cannot recommend this book enough, and very much look forwards to the next instalment by the author.

A well paced story full of interesting characters, I was completely hooked from the start and loved the narrator. Great leading character. This is a wonderful audiobook for lovers of historical mystery novels.
