Oh this book is an absolute gem my major most memorable moment is “you picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel” been singing it all day. I’m so excited to see what Perkins is planning in book 2. This book lifted my spirits and bless you Craig -this is a beautiful universe you are creating and I pray there’s more books in you yet!

the plot has improved much better than the Skippy books, is more adult and less like a Disney plot.

I wasn’t sure about the ‘Mavericks’ spin off but it works to expand the universe with somewhat of a more grown up view than that offered my Joe and Skippys adventures.

Like all the books so far in the ExForce series from Craig Alanson the characters and story keep you listening and craving the next one.

They are good enough to overlook the minor issues a good editor would have picked up like repeatedly using same phrases are part of the same sentence or repeating the same information a few paragraphs apart. Could probably trim an hour off listening time on each book by fixing some of these.
