Even the gods can't always see the future right, and the world it is set in takes advantage of the fact that sometimes, even the Fates can make mistakes.

M Tress has written some fantastic stuff, all his series create amazing characters and worlds. this one has done a great job of world building and is clearly really intricate.

however, be aware that the pace is slow as anything and the author continues his habit of introducing some intriguing characters that then don't get used. I feel that this series could have been one slightly longer book given the pace.

that being said I am keen to see where the story goes. we are in book 3 and no sign of a harem being formed. there is a high likelihood this will be a monoromance! Casey's quest, and Maude's development is brilliant to see. definitely a recommend as long as you temper your expectations on pace compared to M Tress' normal stories!
