The High Dragon

The moment Jaspyr, High Dragon of the y Draig clan, met Avyla he knew she was fated to be his mate. He sensed the magic within her and recognized that she was destined to be his salvation. She would be both his eternal love and guardian of his humanity.

This was a fun book to listen to! Curt did a wonderful job narrating this book! The way he could do the deep, nonhuman sounds- wow!

A few little critiques, first, some words were repeated a little too much. Secondly, I never confused with the timeline of the book in a few spots. In the beginning (not to give away anything) only two nights had been mentioned. Each day play right into one another. Then Jaspear told another character that 13 days had pasted. But I couldn't see how that could be since each day followed the next day. A few other times I was lost on the timeline. Thirdly, some of the names of the characters were very similar to others and it took about half the book to be able to know exactly who was who. Other than that, this was a great book and I look forward to listening to the other books in the series.

This is a great listen for any PNR lover . And I love my PNR stories . This is a different PNR audio . It’s because the dragon found its mate early in his life . Jaspyr didn’t have to wait long in his years to find her ... only thing is Avyla didn’t know what she was and the power she had ... nobody told her anything. Jaspyr also became the high dragon of his clan at an early age. Both Jaspyr and Avyla meet by accident when she was in a cafe . He was down there and she used her magic ( she didn’t know she used it) to go throw the wall . Jaspyr scares her with his attitude and to top it off there is a mad dragon running around destroying everything. How does Avyla handle everything knowing she has to be strong. Does Jaspyr convince her to give him a chance . Grab it and see

Curt was excellent telling this story . His voice and tone was great for the story .

Destined for the Dragon is a different kind of love story. A powerful creature - and leader of his clan - needed to hunt for his mate in order to save his humanity. When he did find her though, they had to face some obstacles and they had to fight for their lives, as well as for lives of their people.

The story flowed well thanks to the narration done by Curt Bonnem. Though in my opinion, he could have done the women's voices better - they were a bit whiny.

All in all, this was a good listen and I would recommend it to listeners who are looking for something different and enjoyable.

this is an interesting story and the characters are well rounded. good world building and the story is interesting enough to keep your attention.
I wasnt keen on the voices of the narration of the female characters but it didn't stop my enjoying it.
