About this listen

Three gripping crime thrillers full of mystery, suspense and twists

The windswept shores of Norfolk may look peaceful, but dark secrets fester beneath the surface. As the seasons turn, so too does the tide of crime, and DI Tom Janssen must face new and chilling investigations. From a grim discovery at the foot of Sheringham Cliffs to the death of an army veteran, each mystery draws Tom and his team deeper into a tangled web of lies, betrayal, and long-buried truths.

With danger closing in and the past refusing to stay buried, can Janssen uncover the truth before more lives are lost? Or will the quiet beauty of Norfolk once again conceal a killer waiting to strike?

Don't miss this compilation of three Hidden Norfolk thrillers featuring DI Tom Janssen in this great value collection. Hours of gripping British crime set on the UK's atmospheric north Norfolk coast from the Amazon #1 multi-million selling author J M DALGLIESH. Perfect for fans of Joy Ellis, Ann Cleeves, LJ Ross and Simon McCleave.

This collection; Book 4 – TELL NO TALES

In a world of lies, one truth remains. Dead men tell no tales…

When the body of an unidentified man is found at the foot of Sheringham cliffs with injuries inconsistent with a fall, DI Tom Janssen must piece together his final days to determine how he fell to his death... or who pushed him...

Book 5 – HEAR NO EVIL

When the bonds of brotherhood are strained, who do you turn to?

The celebration of the Viking Festival of Scira ensures that thousands descend annually on the small coastal town of Sheringham, but when one man dies amidst the grand finale, it falls to DI Tom Janssen and his team to identify who the victim was and how he met such a grisly end.

Book 6 – THE DEAD CALL

When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time...

When a woman's body is found in the sea at Blakeney Point with a single blow to the head, DI Tom Janssen and his team must work out who wanted her dead and why? What would drive someone to murder an elderly woman in such a savage and callous manner?

I listened to the first book a while ago and only gave it a 3* rating. I then thought I try the boxed set of books 1-3 and thought they were worth 4*. Books 4-6 are getting 5*! They’ve got better and better and I’m about to start books 7-9. Great plot lines, well written and focused on the story rather than the personal relationships of the characters. I’ve listened to all of these books at 1.1 speed as Greg Patmore speaks quite slowly. I do find his pronunciation of some words, such as ‘detritus’, somewhat odd and please could someone tell him that it’s ‘Hun-stan-ton’.

Much better than books 1-3.

I’m really enjoying getting to know the main characters, they’re all portrayed as fairly ordinary decent people doing a difficult job. The plots start out fairly simply and get more and more complicated but are usually the right side of plausible. Greg Patmore’s narration takes a bit of getting used to, but persevere and you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommended
