 The Dialogues of Plato (427-347 B.C.) rank with the writings of Aristotle as the most important and influential philosophical works in Western thought. In them Plato cast his teacher Socrates as the central disputant in colloquies that brilliantly probe a vast spectrum of philosophical ideas and issues. The narrator reading the name of the speaker prior to each word or phrase was very distracting. Better readers are able to use different voices to clearly identify the speakers.

It would be better for the description to make this clear.

of course the dialogues are fantastic, but thr narration was so uninspired, with the same tone throughout, the narrator saying the names of each character in the same tone as the dialogue was jarring and made this a chore to listen to.
