About this listen

If you can’t beat ’em… burn it all down.

The fae royalty think I’m their toy. Their entertainment.

But I’m the only thing standing between their glittering world and the darkness waiting to consume mine.

To buy us time, Tarian enters me into the court games—a bloodsport for the bored and cruel. No allies. No protection. Just monsters wearing crowns and smiling as they watch me fall.

My odds of survival? Slim.

My resolve? Unbreakable.

They’ve always underestimated me. I exist in the shadows. I thrive there.

And when they push me too far… they’ll learn exactly what kind of carnage a cornered human can unleash.

The explosive conclusion to the Shadowbound Fae duet.

Another fabulously narrated book.🎧👏

This went in so many directions, many I wasn't really expecting. I thought it would be darker, but as it was plenty dark enough, I'm glad I was wrong. Lol

Daisy and Tarian make an amazing team. It's whether they can achieve their united goals that's in question!🥺

I loved Tarians' 'Fallen' warriors. They brought those fantastic 'found family vibes' that this author is so perfect at writing.🥰 They embraced Daisy within their fold as soon as she'd proven her worth, and they realised she was as committed to saving Faerie as they all were.🫶

The love stories of Daisy's family having so much determination to go and find, then rescue her. As well as Tarian falling for her, and vice versa, was not only heartwarming, it was utterly beautiful!💘✨️💪❤️‍🩹

I can only recommend again and again that you read/listen to the origin story, 'Demigods of San Francisco', and then follow up with this spectacular duet!⭐️

Such a good ending to Daisy’s story. I literally listened to this in a day. 🤩

What a story.

This is the second book of Daisy's life into the fae world, as she discovers what being the Chalice means for her and what she must do and sacrifice to help freeTarran and far from what is tanting the land.
All the while Ceran and Alexis, along with their close team, try to follow them through the fae land while tracking their foot steps.
Read brilliantly again by Khristine Hvam.

Both Obsidian & Diamond Dust are as good as all KF Breene other creation.
Makes you laugh at times but a good story too

Fabulous as always

I enjoyed this book more than the first. Good humour. Mildly dark and spicy. This still seemed as if I had missed some background of her family and demigods etc like there was another book before these two I should’ve read despite them being a duology and no interconnected books or series being mentioned in the blurb. After searching online I found that there is in fact a whole interconnected series about the demigods before this story. I felt that the first booked seemed to start in the middle of the story as I assume the author thought we had read that previous series. Despite that, I knew the main characters better going into book 2and was looking forward to their story concluding. It could’ve been darker and spicier but was still good and I loved the humour.

Better
