Summary

Sparks fly between Nicola Albright KC and Geeta Sachdeva, but not the good kind. They're the sort that leave small fires, devastation, and everyone peeping between their fingers at arrogant lawyer, Nicola, on one side, and everyone's favorite mum, Geeta, on the other.

Yet when both are divorced and at a new stage in life, they find themselves living within glowering distance of each other, in beautiful Iffley Village, Oxford. Reluctantly, they call a truce and try to make friends. It's tricky though, when there's more than one reason they've circled and snapped for years.

For a start, Geeta's lawyer daughter, Olivia, idolizes the eminent King's Counsel barrister, to eye rolls from Geeta. And to Nicola's annoyance, her own daughter, Charlotte, has always turned to perfect mama Geeta for comfort and understanding. Animosity between the two is a given.

Until they force themselves to be nice to each other, that is, and then they're compelled to question everything....

Love this series. A thoroughly enjoyable listen, excellent story, great characters, a few LOL moments, and narrated very well as usual! Wish there was another book to follow!

its worth listening to the whole series, just for this book. At present its the last in the series, but I did notice a new one has been released. its just not on WhatsApp yet.

The books and the narrator all get better as the series goes on. you need to listen to them in order for them to make sence. Enjoy 😃

Another amazing book by Clare Ashton! I really enjoyed this who series and what a fun book to get the parents of the previous two books!

The narrator did a fantastic job of giving life to both main characters! It really helped emerge me into the story!

It was so nice to one get a coming out from more mature characters and two, getting a coming out from both FMC’s! It was really well done and tackled a few issues. Highly recommend this series.

We also got more of Olivia & Kate and Millie & Charlotte 😍

I loved Geeta and Nicola's story, the humour, the trepidation of exploring new love, the blended family links and oh the brief past connection. Perfect story telling, thank you Claire Ashton this book made me smile, laugh out loud, and feel warm all over 😀😉
