Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yeah, if they were a Doctor Who fan.Any additional comments?
Good story, cleverly written, though probably won't offer much to non-fans of the classic serials. Geoffrey Beevers is very good at the performance.Good not great

If you're a fan of Doctor Who, then you'll love this book. The Harvest of Time by Alastair Reynolds is a fantastic addition to the Doctor Who universe. The story follows the Doctor (the John Pertwee version) and Jo Grant as they confront the Sild and the Master. The Doctor must find a way to stop the aliens and save the universe.
The story is well written and the characters are well developed. The Doctor is his usual self, always thinking ahead and trying to save the day. His companions are also well developed and add to the story. The aliens are well developed and their motivations are clear. The story is exciting and well paced. It's a great addition to the Doctor Who universe.
Like a really good Four Part Dr Who Episode

Definitely the master! Wow the mixture of pure evil and cruelty really came over very well.Which scene did you most enjoy?
I liked the part where the crabs first landed and obtained their first human!! It was really edge of the seat stuff.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No not really - just made me feel nostalgic for John Pertwee!Any additional comments?
