Four months ago, a pretty young marathoner disappeared while training on the isolated trails of Griffith Park in Los Angeles. The police have few leads, no witnesses, and no results. Again the story was firmly focused on interpersonal relationships and made the transitionary characters (those who drift through the stories) as real as the characters who reappear in the various books.
