This book shows you that you are never too old for love or a HEA. Full of magical experiences, Mauve and Kendrick's romance isn't straightforward but I guarantee you will love their story which is full of drama and suspense. I do hope we get to see the Gargoyles again. Great characters with depth and are believable and a storyline that draws you in and I loved the narration by D C Cole. Loving this series.

This is a complex tale, not just a beginning of a love story between a witch and a dragon shifter, but the whole shifter world of Salem. Families and friends are all involved in a fight against evil that threatens the town and it's very interesting to watch how they all interact with each other. As much as I was happy for our couple, I was also in love with the gargoyles, which I'd love to give home to...

Loved the narration from D C Cole


Rick is a widow has moved to be closer to his son and granddaughter. He has also stepped down from being alpha in his dragon clan. Carol also a widow a witch has also moved to be near her daughter. When the two meet neither of them except to find love. Ohh loved the gargoyles flying.

We have shifters, magic, dragons, witches , action, adventure, mystery and great romance.

Maeve and Kendrick are mature folks.who have lost mates and raised children. They each recognize the mate bond as soon as they meet. Each of them fight the pull, fight destiny. Kendrick has lost too many people, too many mates, why would he want to suffer through losing another mate. Maeve misses her mate and feels connecting with someone else would be a betrayal. I love how they can't stay away from one another and how the ban together to fight the danger. I love how his clan and her coven join forces to fight the evil forces. I love the addition of the goblins and gargoyles and other supernatural beings. The action is exciting and easy to follow. I love how the story ends. I look forward to more from these families. The narrator in the audio version uses his voice to bring these characters to life and to breath fire into the story.
