This book builds slowly as you get to hear the relationship between Chloe the resistance and the humans. But who is Chloe? What is her real story? Why is she in the City of Blood? The cliffhanger at the end is leaves you wanting more.

A well written story and wonderfully narrated by Jess. Cannot wait for Book 2.
