About this listen

To stop a war, I'm forced to marry a monster.

Charming and seductive. Cold-blooded and merciless. Kenzo Mori, the wrathful king of the Mori Mafia family, is a sinfully beautiful devil with a heart of ice.

He's an enemy who's had a target on my back for years. Now, he's my new husband.

Our marriage of inconvenience is supposed to end the violence between the Bratva and the Yakuza. Little does he know, the real war has only just begun.

Kenzo thinks I belong to him. I think he'd better sleep with one eye open.

But while the enemy in my bed might be slowly dominating my nights and darkest fantasies, my heart is a battle he'll never win.

They say all's fair in love and war. Well, ours has just begun.

Emperor of Wrath is a standalone dark mafia romance with a smart, untamable heroine, and an ultra possessive psycho hero with "look at her and I'll unalive you" energy. For mature listeners. No cliffhanger. HEA included.

I am used to listening to female authors but I thought I'd give a male author a shot and boy was it worth it. It had me cackling and snickering with laughter. I will edit once I am finished. Both the narrators did a fantastic job.

Not finished but love it

I cannot believe this is my first Jagger Cole book!!..I am so embarrassed because I could kick my own butt for not listening to her books sooner.
Emperor of Wrath is not for the faint of heart...and Kenzo and Annika are not an ordinary couple, they are fire,turbulence,aggressive..but also there is a softness, sweetness and a respect between them.
This is enemies to lovers on another level...and even though Kenzo is morally grey you will fall in love with his filthy mouth and depravities.
Annika had a tough youth so she learned how to steal to eat, which evolved into stealing from the wealthy and the dangerous. With her best friend Freya, they find themselves being taken in by an important man who is Mafia.
5 years ago she stole from Kenzo and he has never forgotten...Kenzo is no ordinary man his is a part of the Yakuza(like the japanese version of the Mafia)..She hurt his pride and stole something sentimental to him.So he sets a trap to capture her for revenge.
But something happens and to prevent a war with the Bratva Kenzo has to Marry Annika, and he vows to make her life HELL.
Annika has no choice to marry her enemy because she doesn't want to let down the people she calls family...she also vows to make Kenzo's life Hell.
They are back and forth with eachother all the time and I was so drawn into their games, they clash at every turn, and their sexual chemistry is out of this world.
But Annika has an abusive past and a secret that could just come back to haunt her.
I am just so so glad I listened to the audiobook of this story, because WOW it is absolutely PHENOMENAL..Narrators Kyo Sija and Will Thorne are SUPERB I can't find any fault at all..The accents they must do, the emotions they have to express..I was mesmorised.
They did such a FANTASTIC job at portraying the characters Male,Female, old,English,Japanese, etc etc..It was so much easier for me to follow the story listening to it than if I would have read it myself. There is so much going on and I had to pay attention to all the names,Families, organisations involved in the book.Kyo and Will helped me understand the story better They are so talented and brilliant...I LOved listening to them.
Jagger Cole's writing is exciting, captivating and addictive and this book is a steamy adventure and a surprising love story that proves that there is a fine line between love and hate.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
5 Brilliant Stars.
