As a parent of a child with dyslexia, I’ve often felt overwhelmed and unsure how to help. This audiobook gave me clarity without making me feel guilty or lost in technical terms. It offered strategies that actually feel doable—things I could apply at home right away. I also appreciated how it emphasized strengths, not just struggles. The narrator had a warm tone that made it feel more like a conversation than a lecture. I feel more equipped and hopeful after listening. If you’re a parent or teacher trying to support a dyslexic child, this is genuinely worth your time.

Although I'm not a fan of people having labels like dislexia I encourage that the kid diagnosed and the family around him learns what it is and how to help. Thankfully, this audio is a great resource for this condition, so that a kid not only understands that this doesn't mean they are less intelligent in any way, shape, or form. I especially love that the author added a chapter on famous smart people who had dyslexia. It's up to us to help these kids use strategies so that the condition is not an impairment in their lives at all.

I’ve read plenty on the topic, but this one hit differently. As a father, it can be hard to know what to do when your child struggles and the usual routes go nowhere. This gave me tools I could actually use—nothing fancy, just things that made an immediate difference. More than anything, it helped me feel less alone in trying to do right by my kid.
