Love AB’s writings and discussions but now realise so much of the enjoyment has rested on hearing his own delivery. For all that AJ captures much of AB in films and theatre, his pace here is just a smidgeon too fast and inflexions not quite there. It’s a wonderful book but (imho) better to read it and imagine AB’s dulcet tones than listen to this version.
