Kagan and Ivy have a kind of tribe now and start training them in order to escape the evil queen. But things are not so simple and there are tons of hurdles on the way. The book ends on a cliffhanger (kind of...)
This sci-fi, monster romance has a ton of spice (they really can write monster steamy scenes, Tiffany Roberts never disappoint), there is societal unrest with the vrix community and the bonds the different species form is quite endearing. There isn't much of the funny moments with the miscommunication that we got on book 1, but it's still interesting to discover more about the world they are in and the differences.
Narration was great, perfect for the characters.

Great sequel, on to the final book now.
