It’s beside me to understand how or where does an author finds the idea for this kind of a story?
Even so that this is not even close to my favorite genre of books I have promised to the author Nicky Blue an honest review and to my surprise this audiobook is so great, so funny, reminding me of the movie “ the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy ‘ for some reason that I’ve actually listened to it about 5 times ( never counted ) with a difficultly of taking a break every one of those times.
Perfectly written and together with David Morley Hale narration a great masterpiece was created.
Beside being short I truly can’t find anything to complain about and just noticing that this is part one, that there will be more all I can say is I CANT WAIT !!!
Absolutely full heartedly recommend to all.
This is a great audiobook to relax, unwind from life itself.

Barry Harris is a middle aged man who lives with his 82 years old head banger mother in Portslade, near Brighton, in the apartment over an hairdresser salon. His sister and father both went missing on the same day 26 years before and Barry, after a series of unfortunate events, decides that now is the time to go find him.
With deliciously exaggerated stereotype satirical figures and others that are just plain crazy, this is an, at times, laugh out loud story, redolent with British lavatory humour as well as some Pythonesque experiences. For this reader, a little less I.B.S. references would have been preferred but then everyone's funny bone is different, and there are enough crazy characters to make this book great fun for almost everyone.
Read with pizzazz by the Julian Clary-like voiced David Marley Hale, the whole cast of characters springs further into life, each with an individual voicing, and the action is fast paced in the telling. - a great performance.
Not for those with a prurient attitude or those who like their stories to follow a straight forward time line (or even make sense), but for a fun fantasy with great characters and some really.funny incidents, Escape from Samsara is highly recommended.
