About this listen

Eternal Island - A place where vampires rule, witches play, danger lurks, and dreams really do come true.

Eternal Island weaves its magical enchantments into every one of its people's hearts. No one, human or immortal, is immune to the fiery touch of love.

But trouble begins to brew anew when, with the last arrival, a malignant entity also makes it onto the island. Seeking to settle an old score first, he relies on dark magic in his pursuit to rule the world. Manipulative and possessing qualities that make him hard to identify, let alone defeat, he can only be sensed by one person.

Katrista's dreams hold the key, but will anyone believe her, or will they allow an illusion to destroy them all?

Started off on the back foot as I hadn't read the first two books in the series. That being said, it did not impact my enjoyment or ability to follow the story easily.
So, everyone is on an island, and the story focuses on the new personal relationships of the characters that were developing. it wasn't until halfway into the story that new visitors to the island resulted in the unfolding drama that occurred. The main villain of plot I felt was a bit lacking. not much background to who he was or what was driving him to chase Katrista. He was only portrayed like he was an extra to the actual storyline and had very few scenes or substance. I think this part of the storyline could have been developed so much better and for me would have been more gripping and made the book more than a happy ever after, lovey-dovey fest.
The characters the author did spend time on were detailed with their own personalities and flaws.
