Incredible writing. The concept and world building are fantastic and tie very effectively to link Arthurian legend to high fantasy mythology. The flow of the story is very easy to follow and keeps the reader engrossed and eager to find out more. The attention to detail of the specific time period is carefully place to make the whole story authentic and also easily relatable. Character profiles, backstories and progression are all very well paced to not over complicate the overall stories motion and provide a great level of emotional depth for all main characters.
The performance was very good from Olivia, although there could have been more differentiating vocal tones and accents for most of the characters.
Overall a brilliant book and I’m excited to get on to Heart of Fire!
