Summary

Erin Corcoran doesn't believe anyone in her life will actually stick around. A year after her divorce, she is still struggling as a single mom. When she decides to hire a babysitter to watch her son, Nolan, the last thing she expects is to fall for the woman ten years her junior. Blair Breckenridge is fresh out of college and has no idea what she wants to do with her life. Luckily, that doesn't matter since there is a large sum of money set aside in a trust fund for her. The only problem? Her parents refuse to continue giving her money if she doesn't have a job. Blair decides to become a babysitter for the summer while she figures out what she actually wants to do with her life. Because, really, how hard could it be?

The rambunctious three-and-a-half year old Blair is stuck watching for the summer is anything but easy. What makes the situation even harder is how hot his mom is. On top of that, she's funny and sweet and has Blair daydreaming about a life she never knew she wanted. As Erin and Blair's feelings for each other grow, it gets harder and harder to ignore them, but there are so many obstacles in their way. Blair is young and immature, and Erin worries with how impulsive she is, she will be another person who leaves. Blair has to find a way to prove to Erin she's not like everyone else, because Erin isn't the only one she's becoming attached to.

I really really liked this!! It was so cute and I felt so bad for Erin, she wants to trust sooo bad but she’s been burned in the past. Plus she has little Nolan to worry about too!
Nolan is a bundle of energy and so fun! I think he was portrayed really well and I like that he was such a big part of the book and it felt super realistic (him constantly interrupting them 🤣🤣)

Highly recommend! I really enjoy Erica’s books, so honestly recommend any of them!

Erica Lee has two types of books imo, the lighthearted, low angst, decent humour and spice books, and the high angst with miscommunication or melodrama. This is the former. I love the communcation between Erin and Blair, it was just real. Not overly dramatiezed which it so easily could have been, just two people struggling because one has been previously hurt and terrified of being betrayed again while the other trys to be patient.

More i could say but lets end on Nolan. The single child in this book was front and centre throughout, honestly i love a single parent romance where the kid acts like their age and is actually PRESENT on page. Not just present, but overbearing, constant, neverending. As children are. Nolan was really well written, not just as a character but also as the person that gives Erin the strength of motherhood with the struggles of child raising alone till Blair shows up.

Ok thats enough otherwise i won't stop. Easy recommend for something sweet, no angst, decent humour, nice spice but not frequent. Narration was also great 10/10.

Super sweet romance, laughs and a cute kid
