Just as fabulous as I remembered. Incredulity at the extent of criminality these children uncover aside, it's the same phenomenal story that's been in my imagination every trip to a beach with caves.

Adult reliving childhood.

This is the 4th Famous Five audio book my daughter and I have enjoyed together recently. We decided to purchase another from Audible as we are still waiting for more from the library to be available.

This book sees the Famous Five catch a train to Cornwall complete with their bikes. Enid Blyton has created some great characters that join them on their adventure this time that are beautifully portrayed. With picnics, secret tunnels, and bad guys, a hilarious horse called Clopper you will not want to miss listening to and imagine growing up and living in the childhood freedoms in the early 20th Century. This book is not without its twists and turns and an unexpected one right near the end to keep you on your toes.

The audio is excellent and the reader immerses you into the story. I love the English accent and the many ye-olde words. The character voices are very apt. This book comes highly recommended!

Laughs, squeals and tension - a joy of mixed emotions from my 7 year old in love with the Famous Five

The story was great, entertaining but scary at times. I like the adventurous feeling it gives me.

I think that there could have been a few more bits of adventure but I loved the fact that everything fits together perfectly when the five try to work out the smuggling business but in the end they find out that the truth was quite different to what they predicted would happen.

Amazing audiobook
