Summary
Harlow Hayes has spent three years avoiding Conor Hart. The cocky captain of Holt University's hockey team makes it easy—he ignores her right back.
Plenty of girls fall for the charming lines and that arrogant smirk.
Harlow knows better. Knows more.
Like the fuel for the fury that makes Conor such a dominant force on the ice. The history they share but didn't write. The reason they don't speak.
Until, one day, they do.
He was supposed to be the one guy she could never—would never—like, much less love.
Famous last words.

Love, love Conor and Harlow!! Holt Hockey is definitely one of those series where I’ll be reading at least once for the year!
“𝘔𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴, 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘰𝘸. 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.”
Famous Last Words was one of the first hockey romances that I read last year, which I absolutely loved, to the point where I remember, commenting on one of Charlotte's TikTok's, asking if there would ever be any more Conor and Harlow to come.
When I learned that there would be a rewritten version which, in my opinion is more angst fuelled as we got to see more of an exploration of Conor and Harlow's relationship, spicier and still a five-star read, AND it is being turned into a series, I screamed lmao!
Conor and Harlow's relationship starts off rocky, given the complexion situation and the shared history between them. His feelings were very much valid, and Harlow has always been caught in the crossfire; I loved how this gave more of an insight into their dynamic and relationship that followed, as I always got the vibe that Conor noticed Harlow more than he would let on, and at times was jealous/possessive, but it never really got explored much. Well, it was this time around, and I ate it up! The laundry room was probably one of my favourite scene in the previous version, and will forever live in my head rent free, but the spice in this is definitely made up for it!
The fleshing out of Conor's friends, Adian and Hunter, was also nice to see this time around and really added to the story overall, and I am so excited for what's to come for the Holt Hockey series, with Aidan's book next month!
